HRPA2021 Annual Conference & Trade Show - Call for Speakers


HRPA's Annual Conference & Professional Development Team is excited to announce that we are now accepting speaker proposals to consider for our inclusive HRPA2021 Annual Conference & Tradeshow.


Please review the Speaker requirements and submit your speaker proposal by April 20, 2020 for consideration.

The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) is a professional regulatory body that designs a powerful and meaningful annual conference and trade show that attracts more than  4,500 HR and business professionals every year. As the host of Canada’s largest HR event and the world’s second largest Human Resources conference, our prestigious three-day event features world-class, thought-provoking keynote speakers, over 75+ informative sessions on relevant HR topics, networking opportunities, and more than 260+ trade show exhibitors, and an experience that you will never forget!
As an HR organization, we strive to stay current in HR trends and align our programming based on data compiled from various forms of research. We endeavour to address the most complex, emerging HR management issues, and seek to feature speakers who represent the diversity of the HR profession. As a speaker, this is your opportunity to share your expertise and inspire seasoned HR managers and business professionals as well as impact individuals who are entering the ever-changing world of HR.The exposure and the knowledge you present will be vital to all attendees.

Speaker Selection Process

The HRPA's Selection Committee reviews all speaker submissions. The review process assesses the following criteria:

  • Relevant references.
  • Speaker's credentials, reputation and subject expertise.
  • Proposed topic, relevance to the profession, new approach or research findings.
  • Ratings based on past session evaluations (where applicable).
  • A video submitted highlighting your speaking capabilities is a great way to increase your chances of being selected.
  • Assessment of the value to the human resources and business community.
  • How the presentation proposal supports HRPA's mission and vision.


Key Dates & Important Notes
  • The deadline for submitting to speak at HRPA2021 Annual Conference is April 20, 2020. Submissions received after this deadline will be considered for the following year’s conference, or, if we don’t generate a pool of successful candidates, the speaker portal will be re-opened to receive additional submissions.
  • To submit a presentation proposal, create a new account under "Login" at the top left corner of this page. You must create a user account and submit your proposal via the portal.
  • Speakers must be available to present on any one of the three days of the conference: January 27 – January 29, 2021.
  • Selected speakers will be officially notified and will receive their speaker contract by May 15, 2020, and a subsequent communication will follow, where selected speakers will be notified of their schedule (i.e. time, location and date of their session) by July 31, 2020.
  • Please limit the number of submissions/topics to three.



HRPA2021 Annual Conference & Trade show dates are January 27-29, 2021, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building.
